Sinopse: Neil (Gerard Butler) e Abby Randall (Maria Bello) formam um casal feliz, que vive no subúrbio de Chicago. É o final de semana do aniversário de Abby, mas Neil não pode estar presente já que neste mesmo período foi convidado por seu chefe para ir a um chalé no campo. Como Neil sonha se tornar sócio da companhia, aceita o convite. No dia de sua ida ele sai de carro com Abby, para deixá-la na casa de uma amiga, mas repentinamente descobre que há mais alguém no carro. Trata-se de Tom Ryan (Pierce Brosnan), que sequestrou a filha do casal e começa a chantageá-los.

Synopsis: Neil (Gerard Butler) and Abby Randall (Maria Bello) are a happy couple, who lives in suburban Chicago. It is the weekend of the anniversary of Abby, but Neil is unable to attend because this period was invited by his boss to go to a cottage in the countryside. As Neil dreams of becoming a partner in the company, accepted the invitation. On his departure he leaves the car with Abby, to let her in the house of a friend, but suddenly discovers that there is someone else in the car. This is Tom Ryan (Pierce Brosnan), who kidnapped their daughter and begins to blackmail them.
